Stony Brook

This summer during our visit to New York, we went to Stony Brook State Park.  This is a neat place where a brook goes over limestone making some neat formations and waterfalls.  It is especially neat because you can go into the water  and enjoy it!

My youngest brother, Brent showed us how cool it was to get into the waterfall.

Naturally I can't let my younger brother show me up, so I got under it with him.

The water really beats down on you pretty hard.  I think it makes it fell less cold however.  Emma wanted to be part of the action too.

We also build rock dams in the river for fun.  It must be a boy thing.  The kids loved having grandpa help them.  Even Henry got into it!  Emma was distracted by a stranger's dog.

Here is another family picture.

We also found another neat falls that we could hide under a shelf of limestone.
